We are handing staying at home really well. My kids are able to do a lot of their classes online and I garden in my free time.
ReplyDeleteI am not able to stay home. I work at the hospital so I have to come in on some days so far. Stay safe everyone.
ReplyDeleteI am disabled so this is no different for me than any other.
ReplyDeleteSpending more time at home and trying to keep my sanity.
ReplyDeleteWe're staying home, grocery shopping once a week and watching a lot of TV. The only thing that upsets me is lack of meat at the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteI'm single with no kids and still working so not much has changed for me.
ReplyDeleteIt is not that much of a change for me. I am a retired lady who lives alone with fur baby. I still take fur baby to the park daily (weather permitting) and go to the grocery store once a week. That's really all I need. I have been socially distancing myself voluntarily for years. Just never knew it had a name. Come to think of it, I've never had the flu (despite never having a flu shot) and I've not even had a cold since I began working from home years ago. The last time I was sick is when my husband and I went to Las Vegas for Christmas many years ago. Maybe there is something to be said for social distancing after all!
ReplyDeleteWere all home, spending a lot of time playing games, watching TV and drawing
ReplyDeleteUp until now I've been okay with staying at home with my family, however the past few days, I've been getting antsy and wanting to go somewhere...anywhere...just to get out. But I know how important it is to keep us safe and others safe.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, aside from the kids being home and no church, it doesn't feel much different here. I've always stayed home often.
ReplyDeleteI am usually at home anyways- disabled so my life goes on normally
ReplyDeleteSocial distancing is fine, I just wish more people would listen and obey it.
ReplyDeleteI am going a little nutty ... but getting out to walk as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteStaying home with my husband and going a little stir crazy. Walking when it is warm enough.
ReplyDeleteI've homeschooled my kids for most of their lives so having them home is actually nice.
ReplyDeleteYa know, I try to stay home, but when you work in fast food, it's hard! We are wearing masks and when I work drive through, I do try to change my gloves between every car, or at least every 5.. Sometimes they're back to back so I sanitize my gloves. I have no choice but to go to work though, I can't afford not to!
ReplyDeleteHomeschooling is going "okay". My older boys want to play games all day.
Since I live on a farm in a rural area social distancing is pretty much normal for me. My biggest issue right now is being able to get supplies and food to us as we cannot get to the store.
ReplyDeleteWe are staying home! We take the dog for a walk in the am. Do a chalk mural on one sidewalk square a day and go for a bike ride. This is our normal day.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually having a hard time... Especially form today on, that I'm going to be completely alone... it's not easy.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing okay. Exercise is the only thing keeping me sane haha.
ReplyDeleteI am struggling a bit, but happy for the sunny days.
ReplyDeleteHello! I have been keeping up with a daily routine, and trying to do things that bring me happiness. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteDoing ok, just keeping the kids busy with baking and craft projects....and schoolwork
ReplyDeleteGoing out with the kids and getting some workouts/running in!
ReplyDeletebeen going to work but our business has been very much affected awful time
ReplyDeleteHusband and I take bike rides and walk, I feed the ducks, visit friends from my balcony, enter sweepstakes, read, binge on shows I have not seen like Outlander.
ReplyDeleteI am handling it pretty well. I don't go out that much normally anyways. I am just trying to keep busy by reading, watching movies/tv shows, and solving puzzles.
ReplyDeleteWe like to play lots of games and watch movies.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to get exercise everyday and I have been doing more baking than usual.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing well. I keep myself busy with reading, exercising & entering sweepstakes!
ReplyDeleteI've been running errands for my mom and mother in law and their elderly friends. I take every precaution and make sure they do too. I would rather be the one out there and it them stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing ok! I just miss getting together with my friends!
ReplyDeleteI'm listening to a lot of audiobooks which are distracting & entertaining.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to keep calm. I am really surprised I am as stressed as I am. I have been starting seeds and getting my beds ready to plant. It is good busy work with a hopeful eye on the days ahead.
ReplyDeleteIt is tough. We have a 4 year old grandson and a 2 month old granddaughter we can't hug on right now. Our son works at WalMart so, he is helping people get food.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm in a nursing home doing physical therapy after a serious illness. I'm pretty close to going home, but I guess I'm here until social distancing is done. These are not happy places in the best of times and right now they're very unhappy. We haven't had a case yet, thank God. In KY, where we are, the Governor has ordered that we all now stay in our rooms. Staff have to wear N95 masks at all times. As you can imagine, we are really going stir crazy. And it's so hard on those with memory issues. They miss familiar faces and want to wander the halls, which they can't do. And my physical therapy has to take place in my room. It's an experience, lol.
ReplyDeleteRelaxing at home, playing with the dog more, watching dvr, and jamming to tunes
ReplyDeleteI'm missing my weekly outings to my favorite bar but other than that nothing has changed.
ReplyDeleteIt's been different but I'm thankful for my amazing family :)
ReplyDeleteI am doing ok. I miss seeing my grandkids.
ReplyDeleteWe are doing all right. we do miss going visiting our family but with the phone and the internet we stay in touch.
ReplyDeleteThis is driving me crazy-I'm working harder than ever at home, trying to remain "essential"
ReplyDeleteI live by myself so it has been very lonely.
ReplyDeletei am reading a lot to stay calm
ReplyDeleteI'm staying at home to keep my 80 year old Mama safe! I'm just streaming movies, blogging, and reading. God bless you all and PLEASE stay safe and healthy!
ReplyDeleteI listen to YouTube's relaxing music - a mega help.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have been doing some yoga.
I'm doing arts and crafts, binge watching box sets, reading, practising self-care and lots of cooking and baking.
ReplyDeleteBeen stressed, but manageable, going for walks and playing with my cat, also listening to music mostly.
ReplyDeleteMe? I am retired, so I am rather enjoying myself.... sad cause the kids can't just pop over when they want to, which they used to do. But I also did daycare but now I'm "off". I am using this time to paint, sew, read books, watch movies, bake... do house repairs... sleep when I want to.. love it.
ReplyDeleteWe live way out in the country and homeschool so life hasn't changed much. It's stressful knowing there's so much uncertainty in the world though. I spend time in my garden - that helps me feel better.
ReplyDeleteIt's really hard for me because I'm so used to being out every day. I really miss driving and doing the usual things like going to the grocery and getting takeout. Where I live there is a total lock down on all businesses.
ReplyDeleteIt's starting to get tough, I did go out today for my first big shopping stock up trip to Costco and Trader Joe's and one local big store. I have to say I love that they are limiting shoppers in stores except for one that wasn't it was a bit crazy and I won't go back till it's over.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing ok. I'm trying to make most days productive, doing projects around the house, and still taking time to relax and not be too stressed out.
ReplyDeletestaying busy is not a problem as i am homeschooling our 6 kids. money is terrifying. we won't get a stimulus or tax refund due to debt. i have no idea what we will do but my husbands unemployment is not going to sustain us along.
ReplyDeleteI didnt know being at home could be so stressful..
ReplyDeleteI haven't been doing well at all. I'm used to being at home, and I'm used to being by myself a lot. The problem is that a whole bunch of other really big stressors hit me all at once, and feeling like I'm "locked in" has made it harder to cope.
ReplyDelete--Ann B. (L.....B@yahoo)
By trying to catch up on series of my favorite tv shows
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to keep depression at bay. Doing lots of reading and TV binging.
ReplyDeleteAfter 40 years together we are doing fine...until we had a blow up over a plastic fork...lol
ReplyDeleteI'm handling it by watching a lot of TV, doing work from home, and entering giveaways!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing alright. I'm reading more, spending more time with my dogs, and just taking it easy. Trying not to stress out. :)
ReplyDeleteFor the most part I'm doing okay but I live by myself and sometimes I would love to have someone here to talk to one on one.
ReplyDeleteWe homeschool, so the staying home and having the kids home for school is just normal life for us. We do spend a lot of time at the zoo, library, dance class, etc, so the kids are definitely missing those activities though. My husband is working from home even though he is essential (engineer for power company), so its been nice to see him more! Getting groceries has been difficult just because its been hard to find things we need at one store.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to exercise more and have gotten back into drawing graphite drawings of people and animals.
ReplyDeleteLife is still normal for me. I work overnights at a hospital, so that's still the same. And with my weird hours, I never had much of a social life, anyway, lol.
ReplyDeleteIt's rough, we miss our Grandkids, and miss our family. We can't wait to be able to have sleepovers with the grandkids again!
ReplyDeletejust staying busy making things
ReplyDeleteWe are handing it really well.
ReplyDeleteI am doing well so far, thankfully no virus signs.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking one day at a time.
ReplyDeleteI am missing my grandkids terribly
ReplyDeleteI am usually home anyways, so no big difference. My daughter being home has been nice!
ReplyDeleteSome days are better than others. I read, I play the piano & if that doesn't work, I drink some wine! LOL :D
ReplyDeleteReading, reading and more reading. Almost wish I had a TV. (nah). Talking with friends, Zoom rehearsal with my chorus.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the contest.
It's an adjustment, but we're doing okay :)
ReplyDeleteIm staying home and working out and staying healthy. Im eating take out and trying to stay relaxed through this extremely hard time were experiencing right now.
ReplyDeleteMy grand kids and animals are keeping me sane.
ReplyDeleteIt's really not much different than any other day. We have already been homeschooling for 11 years, and we go out shopping and pick up food.
ReplyDeleteI miss human interaction, but I've been keeping occupied with books, movies and exercise.
ReplyDeleteWe stay home all the time anyway so it isn’t much of an adjustment for us. We are limiting running to the store to items we absolutely need. My youngest daughter is a senior at ole miss and since classes have been canceled and are online, she came home since there are so many unknowns. It has been nice having her at home.
ReplyDeleteStaying home and kids playing board and video games.
ReplyDeleteI am handling it just fine i do not go any where no way
ReplyDeleteI have to children at home with anxiety & depression so we didn't go out much before . They like to stay home so We are ok.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a struggle, especially since we have just started online schooling. We have done a lot of baking.
ReplyDeleteWe are doing really well. We are a family of introverts and the teens have adjusted well to online school and they are completely independent. I now have time to go for daily walks and catch up on household chores and work on a jigsaw puzzle, and I feel like we spend more positive time together.
ReplyDeleteI am retired so I was not doing a lot of socializing before so things have not changed too much for me except that now I try to go to the grocery less often.
ReplyDeleteJust catching up on some reading, and walking the dogs.
ReplyDeleteI'm an introvert so I'm doing just fine. I don't have to give excuses to people anymore and I have been using this time to learn another language.
ReplyDeleteI am home and getting things done but am ready to break out of house arrest
ReplyDeleteWe're okay I have had a letter from the UK government because of my health issues I have to stay inside for the next 3 months and I'm okay with that, got lots to read and my computer and my cat has for some reason decided she loves me and won't leave me a lone!
ReplyDeleteI have been staying home and only going out to get groceries. It has been tough not seeing family and friends especially during the holidays but we had a get together on zoom.
ReplyDeleteI have been able to do a lot of cleaning just to stay busy.
Im still working; so SOME of my days feel normal - that being said, it's front line medical work so stressful with worry!
ReplyDeleteI have been social distancing since 1999 when I moved to the country.
ReplyDeleteI'm still working and as busy with work and study as usual. All the best to everyone!
ReplyDeleteWow Right - I still wake up shaking off the last few weeks... Nope - this is not a dream.
ReplyDeletePersonally it has affected how many times I go tot he grocery store. Now just once a week or a quick trip if I forgot something. My boyfriend however being out of work is starting to bore him. He came out strong and cleaned the gutters and the basement and dpes dishes every other day. I have a few more things on the honey do list but I'm afraid to tell him since he's already been so helfpul
ReplyDeleteI was doing ok with it all, I've had good days and bad days. I've got 2 children home - 1 from uni who seems to be becoming a night owl (up all night sleep till 4 pm) and the other a crazy emotional 17 yr old who is either up or crazy sad... I've been learning new things to teach him things for school. Yesterday was bad... too much interaction with my ex, I had to go grocery shopping and it is so crazy weird by the time I left I was a mess. My sister and I are arguing, my Mom always sides with her...
ReplyDeleteIs it over yet?
Mishelle
I am 65 and grateful I do not have to home school as I had 4 sons. I miss my family and friends particularly my 3 grandchildren. Doing yoga with an app on my phone and HBONow are keeping me sane Rosanne rosans4comcast(dot)net
ReplyDeleteWe're safe at home. It's hard, but, well, we try to think it'll be over soon to try to stay positive. Connecting with friends from many different places to check if they're ok. It's all so surreal and tragic, I can't believe it's true! Anyway, hopefully they'll find a medication soon. In the meantime, trying to work from home, read, and watch movies. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI'm watching a lot of TV for distraction. When I watch the news I freak out...UGH. We will all get through this.
ReplyDeleteI don't stay home. I am a registered nurse working in the COVID ICU and I have never seen anything like this in my 30 + years in healthcare! Scary out there. Stay home and stay safe!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome giveaway - I'm a natural home body so staying home hasn't really done a lot as far as impact. But my son is starting to miss school... that's a new phenomenon in this household!
ReplyDeleteI am watching tv and reading more.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing alright. I miss my friends and family but trying to be positive.
ReplyDeleteI am handling it with my faith and prayer and patience. And the earnest expectation and hope that it will soon be over.
ReplyDeletetrying to concentrate on home projects
ReplyDeleteI've been spending more time working on my hobbies and picking up new hobbies that I've always meant to do but never got around to.
ReplyDeleteI'm fine but miss getting together with family and friends.
ReplyDeleteWe are still trying to find a schedule that works for all of us. Schooling is a new challenge but I balance that stress with lots of outside play time. We ride bikes, play board games and spend a lot of time in the backyard gardening and enjoying the sunny days. We all miss our friends and family but have Duo, FaceTime to get us through this time. There are some days that I forget that we are in such trying times. Its becoming the new normal and we will get through this!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading a lot of books.
ReplyDeleteI am going a little crazy, but do my part
ReplyDeleteWe are struggling. We both are healthcare providers and are burning out quickly.
ReplyDeleteWe have been staying home and trying to follow all of the advice.
ReplyDeleteI already worked from home so it's not as big of a change for me, although I am sad I cannot go outside and explore nature as much.
ReplyDeleteI have been ok, but trying to look at things on the bright side and spending as much bonding time with my family as I can!
ReplyDeletewere staying at home most of the time.doing some house upkeep also watching a lot of movies.that it so stay save everybody it will be over soon.
ReplyDeleteit's mostly the same old same old, just VERY annoying that I can't get projects done due to the stores being closed. GAH.
ReplyDeleteI am a homemaker so being at home is what I do. The strange thing is having our grown children around all the time since they can't study or work. They are the ones going stir crazy.
ReplyDeleteI just try to keep busy and take it one day at a time. I am lucky enough that my kids are in highschool and middle school and highly self-motivated so schooling is not much of an issue for us.
ReplyDeleteIt’s not too different around here. We are a small family and stay sane pretty well with being stuck around each other. Sometimes the boredom can become a bit too much to handle on some days.
ReplyDeleteWe are retired, so not that much is different for us. I don't get to see my grandchildren, which is tough. We go out every couple of weeks to get groceries.
ReplyDeleteIt ok we find fun things to do. I am getting organized around the house
ReplyDeleteI am trying to get things done around the house as I know once it is safe to go back to work I will have to work more hours or get a second job.
ReplyDeleteI got for a walk everyday! Helps to get fresh air!
ReplyDeleteI don't have kids and doing home office, so I keep myself busy.
ReplyDeleteI feel like we are doing ok. Doing schoolwork & keeping the house clean takes up a good portion of the day
ReplyDeleteOnly going crazy cause i cant see my granddaughter. We have 4 out of 6 in this house that are essentials and i dont want to risk anything with her.
ReplyDeleteMe, also! But I wake up the same time i usually do and have my cup of coffee, and I've been attempting yoga to help myself relax.
ReplyDeleteThings are a little stressful and money is tight but we are doing ok enough. Counting my blessings.
ReplyDeleteIts been very hard with my kiddos wanting to see their friends and grandparents but they video chat daily and i believe that helps
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are still working, and outside of work we have been going on a lot more walks with the dog to stay busy.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little stir-cray - it's hard to stay home everyday because I have two teenagers so at least once a week I still have to go grocery shopping but I am enjoy time at home with the kids.
ReplyDeleteI've only been doing it for 3 weeks, but i do go out if I need something. My hub is still working and I go back next week if I choose to.
ReplyDeleteI've been going about crazy. My boyfriend is out of work and we've had plenty of time together!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing ok. I think it helps that I'm a homebody by nature. I'm watching tv shows, movies and reading more.
ReplyDeleteI'm using it as a time to focus on some needed self care and to catch up on movies I've wanted to see.
ReplyDeletewatching tv alot
ReplyDeleteWorking from home, loving it. Reading a lot.
ReplyDeleteI'm desperately missing my out-of-state family, and I can't wait to visit them when this is all over.
ReplyDeletei am def starting to struggle.. i need hugs n freedom,,
ReplyDeleteMy mom moved in with my husband and I last September. We had our routine figured out...now the adult child is home, finishing their senior year of college at home! I love my family but will need a SOLO vacation when this is over!! We have fun together, and I am blessed by a loving family who like each other. We watch TV, do jigsaw puzzles, walk the dog, and play games.

ReplyDeleteI am working from home and SO busy so it hasn't been too bad yet. I have had some broadways hows cancelled so that isn't fun. I miss the movies the most.
ReplyDeleteI live on a horse farm so pretty much life as normal for me. I have the horses and my cats for company and I get food and supplies delivered but a little more slowly now.
ReplyDeleteI have not been out of the house for exactly a month today. I have been reading a lot.
ReplyDeleteRight now, the hardest thing I'm finding with this whole situation is work. Right before everything started I was accepted for a job but never actually started it so now I'm waiting for this crisis to end so I can finally start working and earn some money. It's been stressful but reading and playing games helps a lot.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing fine, but getting bored. I miss going out.
ReplyDeleteFor me being at home it hasn't been too hard since I have worked from home for 10 years now. However, I was laid off a month ago and unemployment has only now been approved and that has hurt quite a bit. Thankfully, hubby is able to work from home and not having to get out in this mess. We're learning how to make do with what we have so we can stay out of the grocery stores.
ReplyDeleteLaura G
I'm watching lots of TV but NOT the news. Scary. We will all get through this, Hopefully soon
ReplyDeleteim handling it pretty well my lifestyle has changed very little
ReplyDeleteWe are doing fine. I ventured out yesterday (2nd time) for some milk and such. Other than that, enjoying the down time with reading more books and playing outside in our yard (along with weeding, planting more vegis, transferring flowers
ReplyDeleteI have been cooking healthier & gardening during quarantine
ReplyDeleteI spend a lot of time on the computer.
ReplyDeleteIt's been hard as my hours have been cut. I've been living for The King of Queens marathons on the Lifetime channel though! And also just trying to tell myself I always have things to be grateful for!
ReplyDeleteIm doing alright. rewatching one of my favorite shows.
ReplyDeleteI'm considered "Essential" so I am not staying home. Working every day....all day!
ReplyDeleteI am a nurse so I have been working. Praying every day I do not get this deadly virus. Take care and thank you for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteYou are off to a good start. I am praying for the best for you. Keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteI'm working, but when I'm home, it's very lonely! Thank goodness for all the technology we have to keep in touch with family and friends even though we can't physically see them at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI'm retired so this isn't too different for me. I'm spending it reading, watching movies and cleaning.
ReplyDeleteWe've been trying our best to stick to a schedule.
ReplyDeleteI've been using this time to declutter our home and enjoying cooking more from scratch. We have also been spending more time as a family and playing more board games.
ReplyDeleteI hate the virus and that people are getting sick and some even dying. It is a nightmare! But to be honest, I love having this break from the rat race! I miss them if the conveniences and outings, but it is just so wonderful to be able to work from home for a while. I have never been so rested, and my apartment has never been so clean.
ReplyDeleteI live alone, so there's no one here to drive me crazy during the quarantine. It is horribly quiet around here.
ReplyDeleteI am a homebody so the lockdown doesn't really affect me. I miss dining out though!
ReplyDeleteWe are doing good other than finding ways to keep the children entertained. Doing activities the school has posted.
ReplyDeleteI actually JUST posted about how I'm handling all of this! More reading, petting the dog, deep breathing, and using paper plates and frozen dinners! ha!
ReplyDeleteI'm struggling! Theres so much work to be done and still not enough time.
ReplyDeleteI've been working on craft projects.
ReplyDeleteI'm not handling it well at all. I miss my loved ones! But I take it day by day.
ReplyDeleteI am handling pretty good ,have 4 pups to train so that is keeping me busy.
ReplyDeleteWe had stocked up on basics right before things got crazy (and we had bought toilet paper in bulk months before this happened) so we have been ok.
ReplyDeleteI am okay. I did have a minor meltdown in the frozen food section of Food Lion.
ReplyDeleteI am working from home, which is challenging. In addition, I am staying sane by going out walking, running or biking every nice day. Sometimes I meet up with a friend, being sure to stay at least 6 ft. apart while enjoying the fresh air.
ReplyDeleteLots of yard work and cleaning the house
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the stay at home order so much as the social distancing. I really miss my family. We are close and usually get together once or twice a week.
ReplyDeleteI am so looking forward to spring!
ReplyDeleteStaying sane-ish. Lots of Netflix, but now feeling the need to use time to improve myself in some ways
ReplyDeleteWe are holding up okay. Trying to keep things semi-normal.

ReplyDeletemia2009(at)comcast(dot)net
Trying to keep up with the kids being home constantly. 2 teens have me constantly cooking & my sparse pantry is taxing my creativity.
ReplyDeleteWorking from home and spending quality time with my family
ReplyDeleteI'm doing okay by catching up on reading.
ReplyDeleteI've been out of work for three weeks, under a stay at home order, and live alone. Thank goodness for my cat. She's the only "person" that I talk to some days.
ReplyDeleteDoing the best we can! Starting to go a little stir crazy but spending a lot of time cooking and baking!
ReplyDeleteintrovert's dream!
ReplyDeleteI have been on relying on TV, IPad, Prayers and Snacks (TIPS) Thanks for the giveaway.💕💋
ReplyDeleteI'm an essential (hospital) worker, so I've been going to work every weekday!
ReplyDeleteI fortunately am an essential worker and working from home 12 hours a day 6 days a week. No time to do anything but it's ok.
ReplyDeleteWe are doing really well! Praying for all the essential workers!
ReplyDeleteMostly by getting things done around the house, spring cleaning, yard work, and watching a lot of tiktoks... lol
ReplyDeleteI've been focusing on work and school before the social distancing so life hasn't changed much for me, except people are weird at the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are still having to work. Most of my office is working from home but I have to be there to answer the phone. It's hard not being able to just get up and go to the store just because. I also miss going out to eat. My girls are both doing school online but they are older so they do it all themselves.
ReplyDeleteI am working remotely from home. My teenage daughter is bored out of her mind.
ReplyDeleteI really miss seeing my family, especially my 2 month old neice who's growing bigger every day. That's the hardest part. And fear over loved ones catching it. Otherwise it hasn't changed things for me much. I have chronic illnesses so I'm not able to go out much anyway
ReplyDelete
